Stuart Little by E.B. White [Author of Charlotte’s Web]

This book is about a mouse that is born to a human family. He is shy and kind. But one day, he became friends with a beautiful bird name Margalo. One day, she disappears, so Stuart Little sets off on an adventure to find her.

The characters are Stuart, Dad, Mom, Margalo, George, and Snowbell the cat. Dad, Mom, and George are really caring toward Stuart since he is the youngest and not exactly a human. Second, Margalo, she is the bird who later becomes Stuarts’ friend. She helps Stuart a lot and is very nice. Last is Snowbell the cat. She is not really nice to Stuart. She even sometimes tries to eat Stuart!

A lesson I learned is that even when you are little, you can do a lot of things. Like Stuart, who went on many adventures even though and was tiny and he was a mouse in a human world. Also, he was not afraid of the challenges he thought he would need to overcome.

The contents are 1. In the Drain. 2. Home Problems. 3. Washing Up. 4. Exercise. 5. Rescued. 6. A Fair Breeze. 7. The Sailboat Race. 8. Margalo. 9. A Narrow Escape. 10. Springtime. 11. The Automobile. 12. The Schoolroom. 13. Ames’ Crossing. 14. An Evening on the River. 15. Heading North. Those are all the contents.

There are 125 pages, with not many pictures. That’s why I recommend this for 4th grade, or if you’re think you are confident with reading, maybe even 3rd grade.
